All before 8:30 a.m.
First I saw one of these on the Metro:
It was pacing the floor in front of me, forcing my heart to sprint as I glanced up from my book every five seconds to make sure it wasn't going to eat me. I can't remember a single word I read.
Then, I walked out of the Metro station to see one of these:
It's not every day you see 20 copcycles (cops on mo-ped/motorcycles) and suburbans filled with black, automatic weapon-clad giants. Oh and there were two cars of important people.

a guy holding a sign at an intersection that said "will work for food", then food was crossed out and he wrote in "will work for gas".
i wish i had a better camera phone.
