Bringing down 3-0, Big Apple style

Apparently 2006 was a year for Wickstrom birthday celebrations in New York City. Chris kissed his 20s goodbye and said "Hello 30," celebrating with a cool stay in the Library Hotel. You should go there. Every room is based on a different genre of books; we stayed on the Literature floor in the Scandinavian room. And just to prove it, I took pictures. We especially loved the CD alarm clock next to the bed which necessitated a trip to the Virgin Records mega store in Times Square to purchase some CDs, including this hot number.Since 30 is grander than the average birthday, we took a carriage ride through Central Park. Short, expensive, but lovely. Street performers were fun to watch, but Chris was ticked when they took our money without doing their "big" stunt. Bergdorf Goodman had my favorite Christmas windows, especially this one. Chris liked the one below (hello, polar bear = Chris will like it). Giant tree at Rockefeller Center. And the reason why we didn't go ice skating -- can you see the throngs of people wrapping around the rink?!
